A New Zealand-owned fresh juice manufacturer making premium juices and smoothies for local and international buyers is looking for a Technical & QC / Production Support hand. It is full-time and pays $30 to $35 per hour. You will work with production, technical, health and safety and management people, run checks, chase down the cause when something goes wrong and teach staff how to do it right. The job is simple to describe and hard to do well. Safe, legal, top-quality product, every time.

Key Responsibilities
- Be the hands-on technical and quality support for Production, keeping an eye on processes and helping sort out quality issues.
- Support food safety, HACCP and quality requirements so products meet customer, regulatory and internal quality specifications.
- Do inspections, checks and investigations and follow them up.
- Back H&S initiatives and safe working practices across production, and give employees practical training and coaching.
- Help investigate incidents, complaints, non-conformances and quality issues down to what caused them, put measures in place against recurrence, and make sure corrective and preventative actions are done and actually work.
- Keep technical, quality, compliance and training records accurate.
Requirements & Eligibility
- Experience in food manufacturing, quality, technical or compliance
- Can work in a team situation or independently, and is confident working directly with production employees
- Practical, approachable and happy to get stuck in on the factory floor
- Strong on food safety and quality, and clued up on HACCP and manufacturing requirements
- Comfortable with H&S responsibilities and risk management, and a confident trainer and communicator
- Able to dig into problems, reach the root cause and come up with practical fixes
- Highly organised, sharp on detail and confident with documentation, reporting and audit requirements
