Good carpenters are wanted in Christchurch. A New Zealand-owned workforce contracting business is taking on experienced Carpenters for full-time work on commercial, residential and industrial sites.
No fluff here. You need to have done the work before, using more than one construction method, and you need to do it properly. That means framing, fixing, roofing and cladding done accurately, safely and at a good pace, alongside crews who know their stuff.
The contracts are full-time with consistent hours. Some projects are short and some run long, and there is a chance of permanent work. Visa sponsorship opportunities are available for eligible candidates, and the role is open to applicants from any country.

Key Responsibilities
- General carpentry on different sites.
- Framing, fixing and other construction duties.
- Installing roofs.
- Repairing and maintaining roofs, plus related roofing work.
- Measuring, cutting and assembling timber, framing, roofing materials and building components.
- Installing those materials and components on site.
- Exterior cladding, architraves and steel stud work, done to construction drawings, plans, specifications, measurements and instructions.
- Working safely and efficiently while keeping workmanship to a high standard.
Requirements & Eligibility
- Relevant residential or commercial construction experience, a strong work history and references that back your experience and standard of work.
- Ideally, experience with general carpentry, framing, fixing, roofing, exterior cladding, architraves and steel stud work, and with reading construction drawings, plans, specifications and measurements.
- Site Safe and other relevant trade tickets and licences: advantageous.
- Own hand and power tools are an advantage; a Drivers license and your own vehicle are advantageous as well.
