No fancy titles here. This is hands-on disability support work in Kalgoorlie, WA, on a casual basis, for a community organisation in regional Western Australia.
The people you support want to live independently, and your job is to help them get there. That means building skills with them, helping around the house and giving personal care, at home and out and about. You work to each person's plan, set up outings and leisure activities, and back people when they make their own choices or chase their own interests and friendships.
The admin side is real too. Reports go in on time, the coordinator hears from you, private matters stay private and you keep the workplace safe. A sponsorship opportunity is available to the right candidates.

Key Responsibilities
- Stick to each person's individual, person-centred plan and handle the activities in it
- Set up outings and leisure activities and run them
- Back people's own choices, interests and friendships
- Help out with domestic tasks at home, as the plan says
- Give personal care, as the plan says
- Get reports and documents in on time and keep the coordinator in the picture
- Keep things confidential and keep the workplace safe for everyone
Requirements & Eligibility
- Valid First Aid Certificate plus a valid Working with Children Check
- Valid WA C-class driver's licence
- You understand what people with physical and intellectual disabilities need and you treat them with a positive attitude
- You can sort out problems and handle pressure
- You communicate well, get on with people and pull your weight in a team
- You are organised and put the most important work first to meet deadlines
- Experience working with people with disability is desirable
