Straight to it. A Canberra venue with a solid name for high tea, weddings and corporate events needs a Restaurant Manager, and the person who gets the job runs the lot.
That means the front-of-house team is yours to roster, train and develop. Service standards and the look of the venue are yours to protect, guest feedback is yours to sort out, and revenue, costs and WHS and RSA compliance land on your desk. You work closely with the General Manager, the events crew and the kitchen so nothing falls over on the day.
The venue belongs to an established hospitality and events group with sites in Sydney and Canberra. You will work nights and weekends. Sponsorship is available, which matters if you are applying from Mzansi.

Key Responsibilities
- Run the show daily across high tea, weddings, corporate functions and private events
- Build the front-of-house team through rosters, training and development

Requirements & Eligibility
- A proven track record in a premium hospitality setting as a Restaurant, Venue or Events Manager
- Warm and approachable, easy with guests and the team, with the confidence to lead hands-on and own operations fully
- English that is excellent on paper and out loud
- Organised to the core, with a sharp eye for detail
- Ready for nights and weekends, every weekend included, plus public holidays and peak event periods
