Waiters with real floor experience, this one is for you. A modern Asian restaurant in central Christchurch, New Zealand, is hiring four people for permanent full-time work.
The place is busy and stylish, with an aquarium as a talking point. Staff are expected to be themselves, have a laugh and still look after every guest properly.
Here is what you do. Welcome guests, explain the menu, take orders, deliver plates, process payments and reset tables. You also keep the alcohol service legal under the liquor laws.
Hours start at 30 a week. Nights, weekends and the summer peak are part of the job.
The restaurant is approved as an accredited employer and can assist through the immigration process if required, including sponsorship.

Key Responsibilities
- Welcome guests and give them the rundown on the menu
- Take orders and run them to the tables
- Put orders through the POS and take cash and card payments
- Clear, reset and clean tables and keep the restaurant clean
- Apply NZ liquor laws and back the licensing requirements with management and guests
- Complete regular in-house training and modules on drinks, food and service
- Push the restaurant's products and services within its policies
- Keep the vibe friendly and fun for guests
Requirements & Eligibility
- At least six months of experience in a similar role, or a Level 2 or 3 Diploma qualification
- Good knowledge of NZ liquor laws
- Availability for nights, weekends and the busy summer months, and the motivation to work hard and learn the restaurant's offerings and service standards
