For an RN already working in Australia who wants to settle down, this permanent Registered Nurse post with a supportive aged care organisation in Sydney NSW offers stability and a long-term career.
The employer is looking for commitment. The successful nurse is required to sign up for a minimum 2-year contract, and 186 visa sponsorship is available to eligible candidates.
Day to day you will assess residents, manage care plans, give medications and work with doctors and allied health staff. South African nurses already registered and working in Australia will know the drill; have your registration details and recent references ready.
Key Responsibilities
- Give residents safe, caring, high-quality nursing care that protects their dignity, independence and quality of life
- Assess residents, keep watch on their health conditions and act quickly when their status changes
- Write, put in place and review each resident's care plan
- Give medications and treatments according to clinical requirements
- Keep full, accurate clinical notes
- Help residents with their ongoing health and wellbeing needs
- Work as a team with care staff, doctors and allied health professionals, and speak clearly with residents and their families
- Keep the care setting safe and respectful, following clinical, aged care and workplace health and safety standards
- Add to a positive, supportive team
Requirements & Eligibility
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse, and current experience working as a Registered Nurse in Australia
- Experience in aged care is highly regarded
- Valid Australian working rights
- Current Police Check
- Strong clinical and communication skills, with a professional, dependable and caring approach to residents
- Works well within a multidisciplinary team
- A real interest in a long-term career in regional NSW, and willing to relocate and live in the regional NSW area
- Commitment to a minimum 2-year employment contract
