A family-owned Western Australian transport and tourism outfit needs a Heavy Diesel Mechanic in its Perth workshop. The fleet is a mix of coaches and buses, and your job is to keep it safe, reliable and looking good through servicing, modifications, fault-finding and repairs. Expect the odd stint at other sites in WA.
Two things to know up front. You need to be in Australia already, with current Australian work rights. Employer sponsorship is available for suitably qualified applicants. Coach and bus experience counts in your favour but is not essential. Casual or full-time, shifts sorted at interview, and applications close on 21 November 2026.

Key Responsibilities
- Keep the coaches and buses inspected and maintained to company standards, and track down, service and fix faults across a range of heavy vehicles
- Fit and repair mechanical components
- Stay on top of fleet and repair paperwork so it meets the manufacturer's specs and the WA omnibus vehicle maintenance program
- Lend a hand with on-board tech: CCTV, sensors, wifi, comms and GPS tracking
- Log every service online, keep the workshop shipshape and road test vehicles as needed
Requirements & Eligibility
- A heavy commercial vehicle mechanical trade qualification, or something close to it
- Time on the tools with heavy diesel vehicles
- Bus and coach work preferred, not essential
- Strong at diagnosing faults
- Knows WA transport compliance requirements
- Holds current Australian working rights
- Has a current driver's licence; HR class counts strongly
- Working at heights certificate and relevant high risk work licences in hand, or willing to obtain them
