Here's the job. A vehicle compliance centre in Auckland needs experienced car mechanics, permanent and full-time, Monday to Friday.
The workshop does compliance inspections, servicing and repairs on every kind of vehicle, WOF inspections included. You strip imported cars for inspection, do the servicing and mechanical repairs, fetch cars and parts from suppliers and help your colleagues out. There is admin too, with invoices, WOF inspections and repair time loaded on the computer.
Now the part that matters most. The employer holds accredited employer status, which allows it to sponsor work visas. It is an onshore role, and only applicants who already hold New Zealand citizenship or residency can apply.

Key Responsibilities
- Strip imported cars properly for compliance inspection
- Do routine servicing and maintenance on all sorts of vehicles and get mechanical repairs done
- Fetch cars and parts from suppliers
- Log repair time, invoices and WOF inspections
- Back up the rest of the team
Requirements & Eligibility
- At least three years of proven experience as an automotive car mechanic
- New Zealand citizenship or residency and a New Zealand driver licence
- Strong adherence to safety protocols
- Organised, proactive, able to multitask and meet timelines
- Good communication skills; computer knowledge is an advantage
