Fitter / Turner and Welder

Visa sponsorship

Trade · Christchurch, New Zealand · Full-Time · $36 - $40/hr · Visa: Employer sponsored

Fitters who can weld, this one is for you. A Christchurch crane outfit wants a full-time Fitter / Turner and Welder. It has built, refurbished and serviced cranes and lifting gear around New Zealand since 2017.

The work is real trade work. You machine parts, weld steel and aluminium and sort out breakdowns on lifting systems, in the workshop and on field service jobs. The crew is small, proud of its standards, honest with customers and quick to get stuck in. If you are coming from Mzansi, note the visa line, which asks for the legal right to work in New Zealand or the willingness to undergo the Accredited Employer Work Visa (AEWV) process, an employer-sponsored visa.

Sort out your CV properly. Put your fitting and turning qualification at the top, list your heavy engineering years and add any crane or hydraulics jobs. Get a crane fitter-welder CV squared away with Build AI CV and apply through MzansiAbroad.
