No hand-holding in this one. A Melbourne Italian restaurant group with a long track record, and still growing, needs a Chef de Partie or Senior Chef de Partie who can take pans (pasta) or larder and own it solo. The job is in the kitchen of the group's original pasta bar.
Know your Italian food and culture properly, because that is the brief. Pasta gets made fresh on site daily in a kitchen that is brand new, and the produce comes from craft producers in Italy and growers nearby.
You start casual, with up to 40 hours a week on a steady roster, and the employer looks at full-time contracts once you have done a trial of at least four weeks. Visa sponsorship is available for the right candidate. Your rate comes down to skill, palate, teamwork, experience and work ethic.

Requirements & Eligibility
- Relevant qualifications
- Solid training from the industry
- A history of running a section in a busy service
- Works independently
- Organised, and a strong communicator
- Genuine interest in Italian culture, its cooking and the source of good produce
- Good food handling and hygiene knowledge; a team player who also brings plenty to the table individually
