Key Responsibilities
- Lead residents' daily care and back up your team
- Do thorough, accurate nursing assessments
- Run overall medication management
- Nurse in a way that respects residents' dignity and integrity and builds independence
- Plan, implement and evaluate care with doctors, allied health professionals and families
- Keep families in the loop about treatment and care
- Supervise and coordinate care workers, enrolled nurses and other health professionals, taking overall responsibility for residents' nursing care, interventions and treatments
Requirements & Eligibility
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Qualified Registered Nurse with AHPRA
- Minimum 3 months' Registered Nurse work in Australia, or minimum 2 years' work experience overseas
- Australian work experience preferred
- Strong leader who can delegate and prioritise the workload
- Excellent communication plus clinical problem-solving skills
- Team player in a multidisciplinary setting with experience in clinical, patient-centred care
- Knowledge of the Aged Care Accreditation Standards, the aged care legislative framework and safe medication administration
