Good commercial floor layers are in demand in Perth, and this is a permanent, full-time spot. A long-established Australian floor coverings business wants a Flooring Installer for projects with Tier 1 and Tier 2 builders across Perth and Western Australia.
No fuss here. You lay the coverings you specialise in, plan the job, get it right the first time and leave a clean, professional finish. You take direction from the Site Supervisor and work closely with the builder's site team and other trades.
The yardstick is quality installs, delivered on programme, safely and with minimal defects. Visa sponsorship is available for suitably qualified overseas installers, so experienced layers from Mzansi can apply alongside everyone else.

Key Responsibilities
- Lay your specialty: carpet and carpet tiles, or resilient floors like sheet vinyl and LVT, including welding and coving
- Prep subfloors right, grinding, patching, priming and levelling as needed
- Test moisture and flatness before laying and keep the readings on record
- Work from drawings and finishes schedules to set out and measure spot on
- Keep pace with the builder's crew and other trades on programme, and look after materials on site with as little waste as possible
- Do the paperwork (timesheets, daily reports, quality checklists, photos) and play by the site's safety rules, inductions and safe work method statements
Requirements & Eligibility
- At least 3 years on commercial flooring jobs, in Australia or anywhere else
- Skilled in at least one of these trades: subfloor prep, carpet laying, vinyl laying
- A Certificate III in Flooring Technology or similar floor covering trade qualification, or overseas papers or experience to match (preferred, not required)
- WA White Card, or get one before you kick off
- Driver's licence that's valid in Australia
- Strong eye for detail and a reliable work ethic
- Clear English for talking on site
