Machine operator with a Class 2 licence and a WTR endorsement? Queenstown has work for you, with a civil and earthworks contractor that has 25 years behind it and awards to show for it.
This is proper hands-on work, from excavating and filling to carting and compacting, then readying sites for retaining walls and for residential and commercial building work. The job is permanent, with a minimum of 30 hours and typically 50 a week. If you do not already live in the area, be ready to move there before you apply.
The employer is an Immigration NZ accredited employer and can sponsor work visas. You do need New Zealand work rights as a citizen, a resident or the holder of a current open work visa.

Key Responsibilities
- Operate bulldozers, dump trucks, compactors and water carts safely and efficiently
- Excavate, fill, cart and compact earth, rock and other materials
- Cart and compact the materials
- Shape and prepare sites for construction
Requirements & Eligibility
- A background of 2 years in civil construction or similar work
- A WTR endorsement
- Full Class 2 licence
- Flexible, hard-working and safety-first
- A current open NZ work visa, or NZ citizen or resident status
- Helpful extras: Class 4 licence, knowledge of compaction, experience driving trucks or other machinery, NDM testing certification
