Straight to the point. A Melbourne home-modification specialist wants a trade-qualified carpenter who can build, in timber, ramps, steps and accessibility modifications for older people and people with mobility needs. Weekdays, full time, on contract.
You need a trade qualification, a valid ABN and your own carpentry tools. Visa support may be on the table for suitable candidates, subject to eligibility and approval.

Key Responsibilities
- Build timber ramps and steps, and install bathroom accessibility modifications
- Do the timber framing, structural assembly and installation
- Handle minor concreting for landings and pathways
- Measure on site, read the drawings and adjust the work where needed
- Make sure workmanship meets building, safety and accessibility standards and keep job information, photos and site notes on a tablet
Requirements & Eligibility
- Carpenter by trade (qualified), at least 3 years of relevant experience
- Residential carpentry that you can prove, ramps, steps or similar structures included
- Solid knowledge of relevant building codes and accessibility standards, and the ability to read drawings and work independently
- Bring your own carpentry tools and hold a valid ABN
- A current Australian driver's licence
- Appropriate Australian work rights or eligibility for employer sponsorship
- Be there for 6:00 am starts when required
- Able to complete a background check and a pre-employment medical assessment
