Key Responsibilities
- Write and develop menus
- Run food production and keep standards up
- Do the food costings
- Manage labour and keep its cost in check
- Stick to executive management standards and meet kitchen KPIs
- Help recruit kitchen staff, then induct and train them
- Talk straight with management and staff
- Keep it hygienic, clean and safe
Requirements & Eligibility
- Minimum 2 years in a similar high-volume venue
- Cert III or Cert IV in Cookery
- High degree of professionalism
- Strong kitchen operations knowledge, mainly food quality and presentation
- Sound financial capability with kitchen costs
- Outstanding written and verbal communication
- Strong leadership and the ability to manage a multi-faceted kitchen
- Hands-on leader who coaches and motivates
- Energetic and enthusiastic
- Proven problem solver who builds and contributes to the team environment across the whole venue
