Boilermakers, fabricators, welders and pipefitters from Mzansi know heavy industry, and this Western Australian opening is built around it. A WA workforce company is taking on qualified tradespeople for clients in mining, rail, oil and gas, civil construction, defence and health, working in and around Perth and out in regional WA.
No fluff about the work. It is workshop fabrication, pipe spools and piping systems, TIG and flux-core welding, and heavy structural steel. You work to drawings, you work safely, and you may have to pass a weld test to prove you can do it.

Key Responsibilities
- Build straight from the work pack, isometrics, fabrication details and shop drawings
- Fabricate, fit, assemble, weld and repair to the project spec, safe and up to standard
- Pipefitters set out and make spools and piping systems, do the fit-ups and put in valves, supports and flanges
- Welders run TIG on exotics, carbon, stainless and duplex, or FCAW on structural work, by the approved weld procedure
- Boilermakers build tanks, hoppers, chutes, plate, structural steel and heavy industrial components
- Run the workshop gear safely and keep the bay clean, show up at pre-starts and safety inspections, call out hazards, incidents, defects and quality issues quickly, and pass weld tests as required
Requirements & Eligibility
- Trade certificate in Boilermaker, Pipe Fitting, Welding Trade or Metal Fabricator, or equivalent
- Workshop fabrication and construction industry experience you can prove
- Reads engineering drawings and technical documentation without trouble
- Proven at holding fabrication tolerances and hitting quality requirements
- Knows workshop safety inside out
- Construction Industry White Card preferred
- Desirable: welder qualifications to AS/NZS, plus rigging, dogging, forklift, EWP, confined space or working at heights tickets and first aid
- Up for manual handling and wearing PPE
- Happy to do overtime and shift work when required
