Key Responsibilities
- Chat to customers first so you know the haircut, style and grooming they are after
- Cut and style with scissors, clippers and razors, from fades and tapered cuts to traditional and contemporary barbering styles
- Do shaves and keep beards and moustaches trimmed and in shape
- Give customers advice on hair care, grooming and which products suit
- Clean and disinfect tools, equipment and workstations, stick to hygiene and safety standards, ring up payments and keep service friendly and professional
Requirements & Eligibility
- Certificate III in Barbering or Hairdressing, or an equivalent qualification, or failing that substantial relevant experience
- Demonstrated experience working in a barber's job
- Strong fades and strong beard grooming
- Strong scissor cutting and clipper cutting
- Clear communication, customer service skills, reliable work habits and professional presentation
- Able to work independently, contribute to a team and work a roster that includes weekends
