Warehouse Storeperson

Forklift driving is only part of it. A building and construction supplies business in New South Wales wants an experienced Warehouse Operator to own the daily running of its warehouse: handling materials, getting customer orders ready, keeping stock counts right, helping with deliveries and keeping the floor safe and efficient.

Key Responsibilities
- Keep the warehouse running to plan each day and make sure orders go out correct and on time
- Drive forklifts safely to receive, store and shift materials
- Unload, receive and check incoming stock
- Pick and check customer orders, then palletise, label, shrink-wrap and secure them for transport
- Load trucks and other vehicles safely
- Arrange products so stock is easy to find and dispatch
- Drop off and pick up building materials at local work sites
- Log movements of warehouse equipment and help with stock checks and scheduled stocktakes
- Keep the warehouse clean, tidy and safe, following workplace health and safety procedures
- Deal professionally with customers, drivers and site staff
Requirements & Eligibility
- Hands-on warehouse experience and solid, practical forklift driving experience
- A current Australian LF forklift licence, or eligibility to get the required licence
- Able to handle materials of up to 25kg safely
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Able to manage your own day and work without close supervision
- A sharp eye for detail and stock accuracy, plus a reliable, responsible attitude
- Experience in construction, building supplies, logistics or a related field is advantageous
- A current HR licence is highly regarded
- Small truck driving experience is advantageous
- Happy to mix warehouse work with local deliveries
- A clear, verifiable work history relevant to the role, and the ability to meet Australian employment and, where applicable, visa requirements
