You will join a professional team in South Australia. The employer will look at your practical experience, trade ability, reliability and whether you meet professional standards, with the aim of a strong ongoing working relationship for verified, experienced tradespeople.
Note that sponsorship applicants must be locally based in South Australia. Your South African trade certificate and photos of finished jobs will help show your workmanship.
Key Responsibilities
- Measure, set out and lay tiles accurately, finishing every project to a consistently high standard
- Waterproof and prepare wet areas, and screed so surfaces are properly ready
- Grout and finish the work, using epoxy grout where needed (training is available)
- Caulk and seal for a clean, professional finish
- Take off and refit basic shower screens when the job calls for it
- Check finished work, fix any finishing issues and stay neat, accurate and detail-focused from start to end
- Keep the work area clean, safe and organised and follow workplace health and safety rules
- Deal with customers professionally while on site
- Stick to project schedules, complete allocated work within the agreed time and represent the team through reliable, quality work
Requirements & Eligibility
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in tiling and waterproofing
- Demonstrated hands-on tiling ability across a range of projects, with practical waterproofing and screeding experience
- Experience removing and refitting basic shower screens
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Professional, customer-focused communication skills
- English-speaking
- Current Australian driver's licence and your own suitable commercial vehicle
- Current White Card
- Valid ABN with appropriate business and public liability insurances
- Australian work rights or eligibility for sponsorship, and locally based in South Australia if applying for sponsorship
- A reliable, professional work ethic and the ability to work on your own while keeping workmanship standards high
