The owners want people with real restaurant experience who keep standards high in a busy room and want a steady workplace with a professional team to grow a long-term hospitality career.

Both full-time and casual roles are open. Sponsorship is available for suitable overseas candidates and may offer a possible pathway to permanent residency, subject to the relevant requirements and eligibility. Key Responsibilities

  • Give every guest a warm, professional welcome and smooth food and beverage service, even at the busiest times
  • Take orders accurately and pass details clearly to the kitchen and bar
  • Look after your tables and section without letting service slip, and help with running food and drinks at peak times
  • Carry several plates safely and bring meals and drinks out quickly and neatly
  • Set tables before service, then clear and reset them between sittings
  • Process orders and payments correctly on the POS system
  • Guide guests through the menu and drinks list, using your food, wine and beverage knowledge to lift their experience
  • Work closely with kitchen, bar and front-of-house colleagues
  • Keep the dining room clean, tidy and presentable
  • Handle guest requests professionally and pass problems up when needed
  • Follow responsible service, workplace safety and hygiene procedures
  • Be a positive part of a cooperative, high-performing team

Requirements & Eligibility

  • Proven experience as restaurant waitstaff or in food and beverage service, plus a relevant hospitality qualification or equivalent industry experience
  • Shown you can work well in a busy, high-volume restaurant
  • Puts customer service first, with excellent spoken communication and people skills
  • Fluent English communication
  • Can confidently handle multiple tables and sittings, and can safely carry three plates
  • Current RSA Certificate
  • Has used computerised POS systems before
  • Wine and beverage knowledge will be highly regarded
  • Well groomed and professionally presented
  • Dependable, honest and well-spoken, with strong attention to detail and calm under pressure
  • Flexible to work weekdays, evenings and weekends
  • Happy to contribute to a professional team environment
