Key Responsibilities
- Look after and repair electrical systems and equipment underground
- Carry out preventative maintenance to the schedule
- Respond when electrical gear breaks down or operations hit a problem
- Inspect, test and diagnose, then repair the faults you find
- Keep electrical equipment safe and dependable
- Support production and maintenance crews below ground
- Follow the site's electrical procedures and safety requirements, completing isolations and safety processes as required
- Record all maintenance work accurately
- Cooperate with other trades and operational personnel
- Join in training, mentoring and professional development, and contribute to continuous improvement and reliable equipment
Requirements & Eligibility
- Trade qualification in electrical work that is Australian-recognised
- A Grade Western Australian Electrical Licence (current)
- At least 3 years' hands-on time in the electrical industry
- Mining background desirable, with underground mining time advantageous
- C Class Manual Driver's Licence (current)
- HV Switching ticket: desirable
- Desirable: Working at Heights certification
- A High Risk Work Licence would also be desirable
- Strong safety awareness, plus a professional ethic at work
- Happy to work 12-hour shifts on a 7/7 or 2/2 roster
