Got years on heavy plant, in Mzansi or anywhere else, and a Certificate IV in Training & Assessment? Here is a chance to pass it on to the next lot of operators. A civil and mining training provider near Perth needs trainers and assessors who teach one-on-one on a live operating mine.
Here is the deal. 1 Civil Trainer & Assessor, Monday to Friday, 8-12 hour shifts, alternating Saturdays available. 1 Dozer / Excavator Trainer on production mining D11 and 3600 kit, Monday to Friday, 8-12 hour shifts, split between 2 mine sites. The job is turning out safe, confident operators who are ready to work.
The site sits about 60 minutes north of Perth CBD. No FIFO, so you sleep in your own bed. Visa sponsorship is available for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver nationally recognised training and competency-based assessment
- Train operators one-on-one on real machines at a live mine site
- Mentor learners and get them ready to work in civil and mining
- Stick to site operating procedures and industry best practice
- Comply with the WHS Act 2020, Mines Safety and Inspection legislation and RTO standards
- Only sign off operators who are competent; no shortcuts on assessment integrity
- Get the training and assessment paperwork right
- Pitch in with a supportive training team and keep learning safe, professional and positive
- Mining trainer: help on the civil side when Dozer & Excavator programmes are quiet
Requirements & Eligibility
- Current TAE40122, TAE40116 or TAE40110
- Relevant experience operating civil and mining equipment
- Supervisory experience desirable
- Handles pressure well and makes decisions
- Works solo or in a team
- Solid time management, crucial with customers who have paid for training
- Passionate about helping people and proud of high safety and training standards
- Reliable, professional, punctual
- Can pass a pre-employment medical and the daily breathalyser requirements
- Civil Trainer: current competency and experience across multiple civil plant items highly regarded, including RIIMPO206D (Bulk Water Truck), RIIMPO338E (Rigid Haul Truck), RIIHAN311F (Integrated Tool Carrier), RIIMPO337E (Articulated Haul Truck), RIIHAN309F (Telehandler), RIIMPO320F (Civil Construction Excavator), RIIMPO318F (Skid Steer Loader), RIIMPO321F (Front End Loader) and RIIMPO317F (Roller)
- Mining Trainer: RIIMPO323E – Dozer and RIIMPO324F – Grader (RII qualifications not required but desirable); the civil plant units above are an added advantage
