Key Responsibilities
- Talk with each client about what they like, suggest the right services, then cut, colour and style to a high level
- Create looks tailored to the person without letting technical standards slip
- Make every visit professional and memorable, building strong bonds with new and returning clients
- Handle professional haircare products, tools and equipment with confidence, and point clients to the right products and services
- Keep up with new trends, techniques and industry practice through training, workshops and ongoing development
- Keep the salon looking sharp and hygienic at all times
- Work hand in hand with fellow stylists and the wider salon team
- Pass on know-how and guidance to junior team members
- Help keep the salon culture upbeat, productive and centred on clients
- Bring your best work to every appointment
Requirements & Eligibility
- A recognised hairdressing qualification
- Proven time as a Senior Stylist or in an equivalent senior-level position
- Strong hands-on cutting, colouring and styling
- A record of professional salon employment you can show, backed by evidence of relevant qualifications and industry experience
- Communicates and connects well with people
- Takes a professional approach to client service
- Works independently and still pulls weight in a team
- Loves hairdressing and is committed to top-quality results
- Happy to mentor and support developing stylists, and committed to ongoing learning and skills growth
