Rosters, stock orders, sales reports and a busy floor of customers: the Retail Manager in this Perth WA hospitality business keeps all of it moving. The employer, a growing organisation in Western Australia, wants an experienced manager with strong leadership and business sense, and offers long-term career development.
You will own store performance, build and lead the staff, hold customer service to a high standard, oversee stock and the financial results, and make sure the business complies with workplace and food safety rules.

Key Responsibilities
- Run the business day to day and lead daily store activities
- Track sales and profitability, and keep labour costs and operating expenses under control
- Build and manage staff rosters
- Hire, onboard and train new staff, then coach, mentor and manage their performance
- Keep customer service high and deal with enquiries and complaints professionally
- Watch inventory, coordinate purchasing, run regular stocktakes and cut wastage
- Look after supplier relationships
- Study sales reports to find improvement opportunities, then put strategies in place to lift revenue and efficiency
- Keep food quality, presentation and service consistent
- Uphold workplace health and safety standards, food safety regulations and company policies
- Keep business and operational records accurate
- Support ongoing growth of the business and development of the team
Requirements & Eligibility
- A minimum of 2 years full-time as a Retail Manager, Café Manager or similar hospitality management role
- Has managed a high-volume retail or hospitality operation
- Has supervised and led a team of 10 or more employees
- Experienced in preparing staff rosters, managing labour costs, inventory control and purchasing
- Strong in financial management and analysing sales
- An excellent leader and people manager
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Solves problems and makes sound business decisions
- Uses POS systems and Microsoft Office
- Knows food safety and workplace health and safety requirements
- Can work weekends, evenings and public holidays
- A relevant qualification in Hospitality, Business or Management is advantageous, and experience opening new stores or managing multiple locations is also advantageous
- A Food Safety Supervisor Certificate is desirable, and a First Aid Certificate is desirable
- Experience with hospitality POS systems is an advantage
