Key Responsibilities
- Carry full responsibility for Front of House service and the venue's daily running
- Motivate the team to deliver quality hospitality every shift and build a culture of performance, teamwork and guest satisfaction
- Set professional service standards and keep them consistent across the venue
- Handle rosters, staff scheduling, reservations and the flow of guests
- Hire the right people, run their induction and training, and keep coaching and mentoring them
- Read guest feedback, fix problems and look for ways to raise service quality and efficiency
- Track KPIs and help reach revenue and profit targets, supporting labour planning, stock control and cost saving
- Run hospitality systems such as POS and rostering platforms
- Make sure RSA, workplace health and safety and other regulatory rules are followed
- Work with management on business initiatives and bring ideas for the venue's growth, sustainability and long-term results
Requirements & Eligibility
- At least 2 years as a Restaurant Manager, Venue Manager or senior Front of House professional
- Strong track record in premium, high-volume or fast-paced venues
- Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate and grow hospitality teams
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven experience hiring, training and keeping staff
- Strong knowledge of restaurant operations and customer service, plus a passion for exceptional guest experiences
- Confident with POS, rostering, stock control and other operating systems
- Understanding of financial performance, KPIs, labour costs and cost control
- Valid RSA certification
- Certificate IV or higher in Hospitality is desirable but not essential
- Strong organisation and time management, confident decision-making, excellent problem-solving, and a professional, proactive and commercially aware approach that works well in a dynamic hospitality environment
