Placement to pick-up, the whole broiler cycle sits with you. A commercial poultry operation in Tamworth, New South Wales, needs a Poultry Farm Manager to run production and lead the farm team, backed by experienced operational and technical people.

Key Responsibilities
- Run the full broiler production cycle, from placement to collection
- Lead the farm team to meet daily production needs, writing rosters and handing out duties
- Track bird health, welfare, growth and flock performance
- Control feed, water, ventilation and shed conditions
- Watch production results and step in with corrective action when needed
- Keep biosecurity tight and make sure animal welfare and workplace health and safety standards are followed every time
- Organise shed preparation, cleaning and turnarounds
- Oversee upkeep of feeding, drinking, ventilation and generator systems, flagging faults and arranging repairs
- Keep farm, production and compliance records accurate, using farm management systems and data to track performance
- Liaise with vets, technical specialists and processor representatives, and report clearly to senior management
- Take part in after-hours and on-call duties
- Drive continuous improvement across the farm
Requirements & Eligibility
- Experience in commercial broiler poultry
- Background as a Poultry Farm Manager or an experienced 2IC, with a proven ability to supervise and lead a farm team
- Strong hands-on knowledge of poultry production and flock management
- Knows ventilation and climate-control systems, and understands poultry biosecurity and welfare requirements
- Can read production data and make practical operating decisions
- Good organisation, communication and record-keeping skills, and able to use computers and relevant farm management systems
- Stays calm and reliable when operational problems come up
- Current driver’s licence
- Willing to live on site and available for an after-hours and on-call roster
- A genuine commitment to animal welfare, workplace safety and production standards
