Mechanical / HVAC Site Manager

Big design-and-construct (D&C) HVAC packages on defence, healthcare, education, government, aviation, hospitality and commercial sites, plus data centres: this Mechanical / HVAC Site Manager role in Perth WA puts you in charge of getting them installed. You will partner with project teams so each job finishes safely, to a high standard and on time.
The employer is targeting experienced people from Australia, New Zealand or the UK with a proven record on large-scale HVAC and mechanical construction. If you are South African, read the requirements closely: the experience asked for must have been gained in one of those three countries.
Key Responsibilities
- Run every day of on-site delivery for HVAC installation work
- Lead mechanical trades and subcontractors, making sure labour, materials and site resources come together
- Keep works moving in step with the programme the parties agreed, and help handle variations and changes to the project
- Check the standard of installation and fix problems where needed
- Keep safety and compliance tight on site
- Read and apply HVAC drawings, specs and the technical brief
- Work hand in hand with Project Managers and the engineering side, and keep builders, consultants and other stakeholders informed
- Sort out construction, installation and technical issues as they arise
Requirements & Eligibility
- Minimum 4 years in mechanical or HVAC construction, with that experience gained in the UK, New Zealand or Australia, and a history on big commercial mechanical services or HVAC projects
- Tier 1 construction experience strongly preferred
- Knows HVAC systems and their installation inside out, and is used to working from technical drawings and specs
- Holds a relevant engineering or trade qualification, or brings extensive time in the industry
- Has a proven ability to run teams and manage subcontractors
- Communicates very well and handles stakeholders with skill
