Key Responsibilities
- Shape and roll out practical HR strategies, and advise leaders on workforce needs
- Run recruitment and talent acquisition, and plan for future capability and succession
- Lift employee engagement and retention
- Handle performance and employee relations issues, including investigations, grievances and disciplinary processes
- Keep the business compliant with employment law and awards, and review HR policies, procedures and documents
- Produce workforce reports and HR metrics
- Support pay review processes
- Help with injury management and return-to-work programs
Requirements & Eligibility
- Proven experience as an HR Manager or senior HR professional
- Relevant tertiary qualification preferred
- Background in construction, mining, engineering, infrastructure or a similar operational sector
- Strong knowledge of Australian employment law, with a grasp of modern awards and workplace relations
- Demonstrated experience in employee relations and investigations
- A strong track record in recruitment and workforce planning
- Excellent at analysis, communication and negotiation
- Comfortable working with senior leaders as well as operational staff
- Has used HRIS and payroll platforms
- Works independently in a hands-on setting
- Sponsorship or migration experience highly regarded
