HR Manager

As HR Manager in Sydney you will act as a strategic partner: bringing in strong talent, growing leaders, lifting culture and keeping the organisation compliant while it expands.

Key Responsibilities
- Drive hiring and workforce planning for the business
- Design and run onboarding plus engagement programs that keep staff connected
- Advise on employee relations, run workplace investigations and resolve conflict
- Back managers on performance conversations and staff development, and help leadership with organisational planning and change
- Handle the paperwork for employee sponsorship and visas
- Keep the business in line with Australian employment legislation and its own workplace policies
- Look after employee records and HR information systems, and help coordinate payroll and HR admin
- Review and lift HR policies, procedures and practice, finding ways to make HR processes and operations more efficient
- Champion staff wellbeing and return-to-work initiatives
- Build trust at every level of the organisation, foster a positive, collaborative, high-performing culture, and grow the business through smart people management
Requirements & Eligibility
- Earlier work as a Human Resources Manager or Senior HR Generalist
- Thorough knowledge of Australian employment laws and Modern Awards
- Solid background in recruitment, employee relations and performance management
- Excellent at leading, coaching and managing stakeholders
- Juggles several priorities in a fast-moving workplace, with strong organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Writes and speaks to a high standard
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications; experience with HR management systems is advantageous
- Knowing Connecteam and Xero Payroll is desirable
- A background in hospitality, retail, manufacturing or other operational industries is highly regarded
- Having managed employee sponsorships and visa processes is preferred
- Self-motivated and adaptable, and committed to high-quality HR outcomes
