You will own housekeeping results, coordinate the team and keep every room guest-ready. Key Responsibilities
- Run daily housekeeping operations and take responsibility for how the team performs
- Plan each day's workload, hand out duties by priority and run team briefings that make expectations clear
- Check that rooms are ready and up to standard before guests arrive
- Work with hotel leadership to keep lifting housekeeping quality, and keep communication open between housekeeping staff and management
- Assess staffing needs and shift resources as demand changes, handling rosters and day-to-day admin
- Keep health, safety and compliance procedures accurate, and help with billing and other operating processes
- Watch housekeeping standards, deal with performance problems quickly and fix operational issues with practical solutions
- Do thorough shift handovers so operations carry on without gaps
- Grow a professional team culture built on accountability, service and quality
Requirements & Eligibility
- Demonstrated background running hotel housekeeping operations
- Previous time as a Housekeeping Manager or senior housekeeping professional is highly regarded
- Proven ability to supervise, organise and motivate housekeeping teams
- Strong grasp of hotel room standards and what guests expect
- Able to show genuine hands-on experience relevant to the role
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with excellent organisation and time management
- Able to handle competing priorities in a busy hotel and solve operational problems with confidence
- Understanding of workplace health and safety requirements, with a strong commitment to compliance and professional standards
- Understanding of annualised budgets and operating costs
- Professional presentation and a service-focused attitude
- Available to work weekends and public holidays when required
- No formal qualification is required, but candidates must be able to substantiate their relevant professional experience; sponsorship is available for eligible candidates
