All-rounders will stand out, though a specialist in one area who is keen to pick up the other can still apply. The salon puts a premium on good service, looking after clients and building skills over time. Key Responsibilities
- Chat with each client to understand what they are after, then suggest cuts, colours or grooming that suit
- Cut, colour, style and groom to a professional level, including women's work where it applies
- Handle men's cuts, fades, beard work and general barbering
- Keep clients happy and the service level high
- Look after your tools, kit and station so they are clean, hygienic and in good order, and use salon products and equipment safely
- Stay current with new looks and methods on both the hair and barber side
- Pull together with the rest of the salon team
- Grow your ability across both hairdressing and barbering
- Help keep the salon upbeat, professional and focused on clients
Requirements & Eligibility
- A proven professional record as a Hairdresser or Barber, with strong hands-on skill in women's hairdressing or in men's barbering
- Being skilled in both areas will be highly regarded
- Practical experience with the cutting, styling, colouring, fades or grooming that fit your speciality
- You communicate well, serve clients professionally and pay close attention to detail
- Keen to learn and to branch out into other parts of the industry
- Happy to work on your own and as a team player
- Holding relevant industry qualifications or recognised training will be an advantage
- Prepared to supply details and paperwork for experience and identity verification where required
