You need real, hands-on skill in cutting, colouring and styling, and you must be able to show it. Key Responsibilities
- Sit down with each client, work out what their hair needs and suggest care routines and professional products to match
- Cut with precision using scissors, thinning scissors and clippers, including men's cuts and styling
- Do colour and highlight work
- Handle chemical straightening and other suitable treatments
- Shampoo, condition and prep the scalp before services
- Style hair for formal occasions, events and professional sessions, plus braiding and hair pieces when needed
- Tailor each look to what the client prefers
- Keep technical work and presentation at a high standard, with a tidy, hygienic station
- Build good working relationships with clients and help grow a loyal client base that keeps coming back
- Pull your weight in a cooperative, supportive salon team
Requirements & Eligibility
- Hairdressing work at a professional level, with practical skills you can show
- A maximum of 5 years' industry experience in total
- Solid cutting, colouring and styling ability, plus hands-on highlighting and chemical treatment work
- Confident cutting both men's and women's hair and capable with event and occasion styling
- Sound knowledge of hair care and recommending products, with strong consultation and communication skills
- Dependable, on time and well presented, with a warm, confident customer service manner
- Works well in a team and shows commitment to quality and attention to detail
- Open to flexible working hours
