This General Manager position puts a proven hospitality leader in charge of a new accommodation and lifestyle operation in Wellington Central, New Zealand, with the job of setting operating standards, shaping team culture and building a property guests remember.

Key Responsibilities
- Own the whole property operation and its business results
- Lead the launch and set-up of the new operation, building dependable systems, processes and service standards from day one
- Coach, develop and support department heads to hit operational goals, and back staff engagement, training and development
- Shape a team culture built on accountability, teamwork and excellent service
- Make sure every guest gets a consistent, high-quality stay
- Oversee accommodation, guest services, food and beverage, housekeeping and maintenance
- Track financial results such as revenue, labour efficiency and running costs, and use data and insights to lift performance and guest satisfaction
- Spot problems early and put practical fixes in place
- Keep communication flowing between departments so the property runs smoothly
- Model the property's values through strong leadership and positive guest contact, pushing continuous improvement while keeping operations consistent
Requirements & Eligibility
- Proven senior-level experience running hospitality, accommodation or lifestyle-focused properties
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams across several departments and handle operational complexity
- A strong hospitality leadership record with measurable business results
- Has built teams, processes and service standards in a fast-changing environment
- Balances hands-on leadership with strategic business planning, and understands accommodation operations, guest experience management and what drives profit
- Experience with budgets, forecasting, labour management and cost control
- Communicates strongly and can influence and motivate diverse teams
- A confident decision-maker who solves operational challenges practically
- Food and beverage leadership experience is highly regarded
- Passionate about hospitality, travel, people and creating memorable experiences
