Formwork Carpenter

Commercial high-rise sites in Western Australia need Formwork Carpenters who can show what they have built. This role, based around Scarborough in Perth, is about accurate, safe and reliable formwork on major projects.
Selection rests on proof. Your hands-on project experience, trade ability and work history will be weighed during assessment, and visa sponsorship is offered to candidates whose skills and experience reach the required standard.

Key Responsibilities
- Construct, install and strip formwork for concrete structures on commercial high-rise jobs
- Work from construction plans, drawings and specifications
- Measure, set out and assemble formwork accurately, using the right technique for each formwork system
- Check finished work for accuracy, quality and safety
- Collaborate with supervisors, engineers and the other trades on site
- Keep productivity and quality up while meeting project schedules
- Follow site procedures and workplace health and safety rules, and keep work areas safe, tidy and compliant
Requirements & Eligibility
- Proven experience working as a Formwork Carpenter, including substantial commercial high-rise construction work
- Hands-on knowledge of a range of formwork systems
- Able to read and follow construction drawings and specifications
- Sound understanding of safe construction practice
- A track record of accurate, quality workmanship
- A valid Australian Construction White Card
- Works efficiently in a professional construction team, with dependable attendance and attention to site and project requirements
- Able to provide evidence that backs up your claimed trade skills and employment
- Candidates with substantial experience and suitably verified skills may be eligible for visa sponsorship
