Formwork Carpenter

Building, standing and stripping formwork on different sites across Western Australia is the core of this Perth role. A construction team needs an experienced Formwork Carpenter whose industry experience is proven, verifiable and backed by a strong commitment to quality work.
You would handle formwork and general carpentry beside an experienced crew, moving between projects and adjusting to whatever each site throws at you. Hands-on ability you can actually show matters most.
South African formworkers should keep proof of past site work ready, as trades are usually assessed again for Australia.
Key Responsibilities
- Do formwork carpentry on a range of construction projects
- Build, put together and strip formwork structures
- Read construction drawings, plans and specifications
- Measure, mark, cut and fit materials accurately, and take on general carpentry and construction tasks as needed
- Use hand and power tools safely and efficiently
- Check finished work for quality and accuracy
- Follow site safety procedures and construction requirements, and keep your work area clean and organised
- Work alone or as part of the construction crew
- Travel between project sites when needed
- Adjust to changing site conditions and project needs
Requirements & Eligibility
- Demonstrated background as a Formwork Carpenter or All-Round Carpenter
- A relevant carpentry qualification or recognised trade certification is preferred
- Genuine, verifiable experience in the construction industry, including time on active sites
- White Card
- A current driver's licence is preferred
- Reliable transport and your own hand and power tools
- Able to work on your own
- Strong work ethic and an eye for detail
- Willing to travel between sites and to work in regional areas where required
- Can satisfy the employment and sponsorship requirements that apply
- Sponsorship on offer for the right candidate
