Floor Restaurant Manager

Know your Italian food and love running a busy floor? A respected Italian hospitality business in New South Wales is hiring an experienced Restaurant Floor Manager and offering room to build a career.

You will be at the heart of every guest's visit, keeping service running smoothly while you lead and grow the front-of-house staff. The right person pairs confident floor management with a real feel for Italian food, products and dining culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Head up the front-of-house team, run each day's service and manage the whole floor so guests are looked after efficiently and warmly
  • Keep the chef and senior management in sync with what is happening on the floor
  • Hand out duties to staff and keep service flowing
  • Make sure every table gets a consistently high level of service
  • Supervise the team, sort out problems as they come up and check everyone follows workplace policies and procedures
  • Coach team members until they meet service expectations
  • Uphold hygiene, cleanliness and food safety standards
  • Track stock levels and keep stock records up to date
  • Deal with suppliers and place product orders, keeping seasonal availability in mind
  • Support the management team in day-to-day running
  • Guard the quality and authenticity of the Italian dining experience

Requirements & Eligibility

  • Minimum 3 years managing a restaurant or its floor in a relevant role
  • You know Italian food, cuisine and products well
  • Experience in charge of hospitality staff, leading and supervising them, with solid team management
  • Outstanding service skills and an easy way with people
  • Able to train, motivate and coordinate staff so they pull together
  • Organised and on top of your time, keeping your cool and your professionalism when the dining room is packed
  • Familiar with food safety, hygiene and workplace standards
  • A clear communicator who solves problems
  • An Italian background or strong knowledge of Italian dining culture highly regarded
  • Driven to give every guest an exceptional experience
  • Willing to begin part-time, with potential to move up to full-time
