Fitter
Trade · Kewdale, Perth WA, Australia · Full-Time · $80,000/yr
Hydraulic lines, pneumatic systems, overhauls and breakdowns on fixed and mobile plant: this is the daily work for a qualified Fitter joining a permanent team based in Kewdale, Perth.
The employer runs a professional engineering and maintenance operation that looks after industrial equipment in its own workshop and at client sites. The work is hands-on and varied, from mechanical maintenance and fault-finding to capital improvement projects. For applicants abroad, the employer checks that verified qualifications and work history match the role, and eligible people may be considered for employer-sponsored visa pathways. Beyond getting into the Australian market, the job offers a permanent footing, more technical depth and a route towards leadership.
Fitters with a South African trade certificate should expect a skills assessment for Australia, often through Trades Recognition Australia.
