Key Responsibilities
- Feed and look after livestock every day, preparing and handing out feed in line with production schedules
- Watch animal health and wellbeing closely and raise any concerns straight away
- Move and inspect livestock safely during routine handling
- Help with livestock processing and quality assurance work
- Keep farm hygiene and biosecurity standards high, cleaning facilities, work areas and equipment by approved methods
- Drive farm vehicles and machinery in line with your training and licensing requirements
- Do general property upkeep such as mowing and weed control
- Check and maintain farm equipment so it stays safe to use
- Fill in daily records and keep supervisors informed
- Pull together with the team on production, safety and animal welfare goals
Requirements & Eligibility
- Background in farming, livestock, agriculture, construction, landscaping, manufacturing, warehousing or another physically demanding industry is an advantage, though not essential
- Happy to work outside in all kinds of weather, and physically fit enough for manual work across the whole day
- A positive attitude and a willingness to pick up new skills
- Communicates well and works as part of a team
- Committed to safety at work and to animal welfare standards
- Dependable and available for rotating rosters, weekends and public holidays included
- A current driver's licence is desirable
- Eligibility for Australian visa sponsorship
