Electrician
Trade · Leichhardt, Sydney NSW, Australia · Full-Time · $80,000/yr
Picture a commercial building in shutdown: you are the one testing the generator, tracing a fault in its controller or PLC, and rewiring a control circuit before the power comes back. This New South Wales job takes an Electrician or Junior Electrician beyond routine electrical work and into standby power and critical building systems.
The employer will look closely at your hands-on background, trade knowledge and proof of real electrical work. Expect generator testing, electrical upgrades, fault-finding and controls across commercial sites, with engineers to back you up and plenty to learn. If you enjoy problem-solving and want to understand complex power systems, this is a route into specialist work on important commercial infrastructure.
If you qualified in South Africa, expect your trade to be assessed again for Australia.
