Key Responsibilities
- Go through the day's prep priorities with the team leader, then complete the food prep the kitchen needs
- Run your assigned section during service and keep your station organised and efficient
- Cook and plate food to the required standard every time
- Back up the rest of the kitchen when service gets busy, talking clearly with colleagues throughout
- Clean equipment and work areas as you go during the shift
- Follow food safety, hygiene and workplace procedures
- Help keep the kitchen cooperative and professional
- Stay calm and consistent across each service
Requirements & Eligibility
- Has worked before in a commercial kitchen, café or hospitality setting
- Good grasp of food prep and how a kitchen runs, and able to work efficiently when service is fast-paced
- Works well in a team and communicates clearly
- Positive and dependable at work
- Open to constructive feedback and keen to improve
- Can work independently while still supporting the rest of the team
- Committed to keeping the workplace clean and food safe
- Available for early morning and daytime shifts
