Key Responsibilities
- Cook and prepare high-quality food throughout daily kitchen operations
- Steer the kitchen workflow from prep until service wraps up, organising tasks so service runs on time
- Keep quality, presentation and portions consistent on every plate
- Help shape menu improvements, seasonal dishes and creative ideas
- Put your knowledge of food costing, pricing and kitchen profitability to work, controlling stock use, tracking wastage and finding efficiencies
- Uphold food safety, hygiene and workplace compliance
- Share knowledge with junior team members and help build a positive, professional kitchen culture
Requirements & Eligibility
- Demonstrated experience as a Chef, or as an experienced Cook, in a commercial kitchen
- A relevant culinary qualification or a strong, proven industry background
- Employment history that can be verified, and practical skills you can demonstrate
- Understands food costing, stock management and how kitchens operate
- Works efficiently in fast-paced hospitality, with close attention to detail and real commitment to food quality
- Dependable work ethic, professional communication and good collaboration with kitchen and service teams
- Willing to relocate and build a career in New Zealand
- Eligible candidates may be considered for employer-supported visa sponsorship, depending on skills, experience and New Zealand immigration requirements
