Key Responsibilities

  • Cook meals to the kitchen's set standards, following recipes so every plate is consistent
  • Get daily prep and mise en place done for lunch and dinner service
  • Pitch in on menu and recipe development when asked
  • Juggle several cooking jobs at once when service is flat out
  • Check food quality, plating and portion sizes
  • Keep your station tidy, clean and hygienic, and stick to food safety procedures
  • Work alongside the rest of the kitchen crew through each service
  • Finish prep and cooking on time and adjust as priorities change
  • Perform steadily in a high-volume kitchen
  • Lend a hand with general kitchen jobs when needed
  • Help keep the workplace positive, professional and cooperative

Requirements & Eligibility

  • Demonstrated professional work as a Cook or Chef, with proven time in commercial kitchens
  • Has worked in fast-paced, high-volume hospitality settings and can keep food quality consistent under pressure
  • Sound knowledge of cooking techniques and food prep
  • Follows recipes and kitchen procedures accurately
  • Well organised and manages time well
  • Dependable and professional about workplace duties
  • Communicates and cooperates well within a kitchen team
  • Hard-working, positive and passionate about food and hospitality
  • Available for weekends, early mornings and late-night shifts when required
  • Earlier experience across multiple venues is advantageous
  • Relevant culinary qualifications and/or substantial industry experience
  • Able to meet the applicable Australian employment and visa requirements, and willing to go through the required candidate verification and assessment process
  • Sponsorship available for eligible and suitably experienced candidates
