Key Responsibilities

  • Own your allocated section from prep right through service, with full mise en place done before service starts
  • Turn fresh pasta, seafood and seasonal produce into high-quality dishes
  • Deliver the same result plate after plate when volume is high, with strong taste, presentation and portion control
  • Work in step with the other chefs and kitchen staff so busy services run smoothly
  • Coach and support less experienced cooks
  • Uphold food safety, hygiene and cleanliness
  • Check prep standards and keep food waste low
  • Follow kitchen procedures, recipes and set quality standards
  • Cover breakfast, lunch and dinner services as needed
  • Work evenings, weekends and public holidays when on the roster

Requirements & Eligibility

  • Proven professional background as a Chef de Partie or in an equivalent kitchen role
  • Strong grounding in high-volume commercial kitchens
  • Demonstrated experience cooking Italian-inspired food, with practical fresh pasta and seafood skills
  • Comfortable working with fresh, seasonal produce
  • Can confidently run a kitchen section on your own
  • Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery, or equivalent trade experience
  • Good at teamwork, communication and staying organised
  • Stays efficient and calm when service is busy, and takes a professional approach to food quality, hygiene and workplace standards
  • Available for nights and weekends
  • Can provide evidence of relevant qualifications and professional experience
