Chef De Partie

Busy services on the fryer and grill, a kitchen team with years behind them, and plates that have to look as good as they taste. That is the setting for this Chef De Partie job at an established hospitality venue in Aldinga, Adelaide, South Australia.
The venue wants a driven cook who likes pace and is proud of their food. You will keep preparation, presentation, hygiene and kitchen routines up to standard, and there is room to build long-term experience and move up in the industry.
Hours start at around 30–35 per week on a rotating roster, with a chance to step up to full-time. Have your chef references and any South African culinary certificates ready to send.
Key Responsibilities
- Cook and plate high-quality dishes to the menu standard, keeping quality and presentation consistent
- Run the fryer and grill sections efficiently when service is at its busiest
- Make sure food safety and hygiene rules are followed every shift
- Help with stock control and the kitchen inventory
- Place and track orders through online ordering systems when needed
- Help train and develop junior kitchen staff
- Work closely with the rest of the kitchen so each day runs smoothly, and play your part in how the kitchen performs overall
- Keep the kitchen clean, organised and safe
Requirements & Eligibility
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar chef role, including time in a fast-paced commercial kitchen
- Solid experience cooking on the fryer and grill
- Upbeat attitude and a real passion for hospitality
- Able to guide, mentor and train junior staff
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and online ordering platforms is advantageous
- Flexible enough to work a 7-day rotating roster
- Available for roughly 30–35 hours per week, with the chance to move into full-time employment
