Key Responsibilities
- Cook and prepare dishes to the set quality standards, including steady à la carte output through busy services
- Get through prep and kitchen tasks efficiently, with sharp presentation and careful portions
- Move between kitchen sections as needed and step up to keep things running when required
- Stick to food safety, hygiene and workplace health rules, and keep the kitchen tidy, organised and safe
- Help train and develop junior chefs and apprentices
- Talk clearly with the kitchen crew and the front-of-house team
- Help with stock preparation and general kitchen work
- Help keep the team culture positive and professional
- Look for ways to make the kitchen run better and the food taste better
Requirements & Eligibility
- Minimum 3 years working in professional kitchens
- Has worked as a Chef or in a similar culinary role, with proven à la carte cooking behind you
- Strong hands-on cooking and food prep skills
- Knows professional food safety and hygiene standards
- Can work alone in a busy kitchen and turn in reliable, consistent work
- Communicates and works well with others
- Professional outlook and committed to quality
- Experience supporting or mentoring junior kitchen staff is advantageous
- Happy to work day, evening and overnight shifts
- English language proficiency
- Australian work rights preferred
- Willing to relocate to Western Australia
- Sponsorship is available for the right candidate
