A kitchen install one week, a bathroom refit the next, then fencing or a roof job. An experienced Carpenter & Cabinetmaker with a wide practical skill set is needed for construction and renovation work in the Karratha, Port Hedland and Pilbara area of Western Australia.
The employer wants proof of broad experience in the work you have finished, not skill in just one corner of carpentry. You will move between renovations, installations, fit-outs and maintenance across different settings. Someone dependable and organised, who owns their work, gets on with other trades and is keen to learn and take on new challenges, will do well here.

Key Responsibilities
- Do carpentry on residential and commercial renovations, including bathroom refurbishments
- Install kitchens and cabinetry, measuring, cutting, assembling and fitting cabinets and timber parts
- Carry out residential and commercial fit-outs
- Handle general carpentry, building maintenance and roofing-related carpentry
- Build and install fences and other outdoor structures
- Read plans, drawings and measurements, and choose the right materials, tools and methods for each task
- Work alongside other trades and the project team, while managing your own tasks to meet project requirements
- Solve problems on site with practical fixes
- Keep workmanship, accuracy and finish at a high standard, with tools, gear and work areas tidy and safe
- Follow health and safety procedures and behave professionally on customer and commercial sites
- Adapt to new projects and changing demands, helping deliver work efficiently and improve how things are done
Requirements & Eligibility
- Minimum 4 years of post-apprenticeship carpentry experience, across several areas of carpentry
- Strong cabinetmaking and kitchen installation background
- Experience with domestic and commercial fit-outs
- Roofing and fencing experience will be highly regarded
- Able to show genuine hands-on trade experience
- Confident working on your own without constant supervision, and able to work well with other trades and contractors
- Strong organisation and planning, good problem-solving and attention to detail
- Reliable, motivated and professional, and willing to upskill and broaden your trade abilities
- Full Australian driver's licence
- Your own carpentry tools
- Able to pass a drug and alcohol test
- Valid Australian work rights or eligibility for an appropriate sponsored visa; overseas applicants may be considered for visa sponsorship based on verified trade experience, qualifications and overall suitability
