Key Responsibilities

  • Study cabinetry plans, drawings and specs, then measure each space and confirm site dimensions
  • Assemble and prep cabinets ready for fitting
  • Install residential kitchens, cabinets and cabinetry components
  • Fit doors, panels, fillers, kickboards and hardware
  • Adjust and modify units to suit site conditions, and handle on-site alterations and finishing
  • Work with laminate, melamine and other cabinetry materials
  • Spot installation problems and come up with practical fixes
  • Check every cabinet is aligned, level and firmly fixed, with high-quality, detailed workmanship
  • Finish jobs efficiently and to the required specs
  • Cooperate with colleagues and other trades
  • Act professionally in customers' homes
  • Keep the work area clean, organised and safe, and follow the relevant health and safety procedures

Requirements & Eligibility

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant cabinet-making, joinery or kitchen installation work
  • A relevant trade qualification in cabinet making, joinery or a related field preferred
  • Proven installation of residential kitchens and cabinetry, with strong practical knowledge of how cabinets are built and fitted
  • Reads plans, drawings and measurements accurately
  • Sharp eye for detail and quality control
  • Can handle on-site modifications and solve problems
  • Communicates well and works as part of a team
  • Can work alone and manage the tasks given
  • Professional, dependable and safety-minded
  • An Australian driver's licence or able to obtain one, plus reliable transport
  • A work history that can be verified, with evidence of relevant trade experience; previous Australian industry experience is highly regarded
  • Must currently be residing in Australia
