Branch Manager
Trade · Tauranga, Bay of Plenty, New Zealand · Full-Time · $25/hr
Service, parts, sales and engineering all report up to this job. The Branch Manager in Tauranga, Bay of Plenty, runs a complex, multi-disciplinary operation and leads a team that already performs well.
The measure of success is clear: the branch must hit its targets for safety, customer service, sales, profit and operations, while people do their best work. That means the right person enjoys growing staff, building customer relationships and getting commercial results, not only managing a budget.
Leaders from heavy transport, equipment, automotive or industrial businesses will recognise the brief. If you are planning to relocate with a partner and children, start talking schools and housing early so the family side is not rushed.

- Develop managers, supervisors and operational staff, coaching people and spotting future leaders
- Grow an engaged, high-performing culture that keeps staff and lifts engagement
- Put health, safety and wellbeing first across all initiatives
- Build strong ties with customers and key stakeholders and back sales and business development efforts
- Oversee service, parts, sales and engineering activity
- Run branch budgets and commercial performance
- Push for operational efficiency and service excellence, finding ways to improve processes
- Sort out operational and customer problems effectively
- Take part in strategic planning at senior leadership level and uphold organisational values and professional standards
Requirements & Eligibility
- Significant leadership experience in a branch or operational setting, including managing diverse teams across multiple business functions
- Previous senior management experience is strongly preferred

- Strong track record in customer service and managing relationships
- Proven ability to run budgets and meet commercial targets
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop employees
- Excellent communication and people skills
- Strong at solving problems and making decisions, and able to work well when things move fast
