Blaster/Painter

Trade · Wangara, Perth WA, Australia · Full-Time · $45/hr

Ask any good painter: the coating is only as good as the blast underneath it. This Blaster/Painter role in Wangara, Perth WA is for someone who takes surface prep as seriously as the topcoat.

The employer is an established name in industrial services, adding people to its workshop crew. Expect modern gear, industrial paint systems and tough sectors where the finish has to last.

The job is permanent and full-time, with competitive hourly rates, ongoing training, a choice of shift patterns and a path to move up. Bring records of the standards and coating systems you have worked to, because proven industrial experience is what counts.

  • Get materials and substrates ready to take protective coatings
  • Lay down zinc-rich primers, high-build epoxy and polyurethane, plus other industrial systems, including stripe coats and each specified stage
  • Spray using airless and conventional rigs, checking film build with wet film gauges so thickness stays within spec

  • Look after the blasting and painting gear and fault-find when the blast equipment or blast room plays up
  • Move blasting trolleys on and off, and keep your work area clean, orderly and safe
