Key Responsibilities
- Bone and trim beef carcases with the right techniques, preparing primal cuts to the required specifications
- Protect yield, presentation and quality standards on every product
- Handle knives and processing equipment safely
- Get production tasks done quickly and accurately, keeping workflow and production standards consistent
- Check products and report any quality or contamination concerns
- Keep strict personal and workplace hygiene
- Work to halal processing requirements and to food safety and WHS procedures
- Pull your weight within the production team
- Join workplace training and development when required
Requirements & Eligibility
- Proven experience in beef processing, boning, slicing or halal slaughter
- Commercial knife-handling ability you can demonstrate, plus practical knowledge of beef cuts and processing techniques
- Able to provide evidence of your relevant industry experience
- A strong focus on safe work practices, accuracy and quality
- Able to stay productive in a physically demanding environment
- Reliable and disciplined, and a good team member
- Able to follow detailed hygiene and processing procedures
- Current Australian working rights or eligibility for sponsorship; overseas applicants must meet applicable Subclass 482 requirements
- A relevant skills assessment where required for the nominated occupation
- Able to satisfy applicable English, health and character requirements
